Hi Thank you Excuse me No Sorry Ok

The first time overseas by myself, For five days I’ve said it all except this
Whether to slowly spread my wings or head off to adventure, a paper-thin holiday
Squeeze it all in my backpack, barely fitting in my PC
My best friend is my OLYMPUS OM-1, goodbye to my life of poverty this month
At first I was nervous paying with cards, but American change is hard to figure out
Practicing alone at the hotel to say Thank you with a smile at the café after paying
Hold on, it’s only that I was able to pay with change for a Hot Latte with flower art
Once I got back home I felt like I was going to cry, such a small thing but it made me happy, damn it

The same size as Gifu-prefecture, the radio is my rental car’s background music
They’ll absolutely play Justin Bieber, Hearing it here feels so nice
Left hand drive, driving on the right-side lanes, reciting “right, right, right” many times over
Unconsciously I end up in the left side lanes and have a first experience of getting flipped off

“I can’t help it!” I say to myself, I’ll head over to that town in sight
The breathtaking scenery unfolding in front of my eyes, it’s all for nothing as my shutter clicks
There’s not even one tall building, There’s not even one thing in my way
I can’t see anything but the sky, mountains, and ocean, perhaps that’s why everyone’s smiling?

There’s not a piece of garbage in the ocean, that’s because it’s the ocean
There are no plastic bags here, that’s for the benefit of the sea turtles
I’ve got no memories I can speak about, they’re in my notebook and pictures
But the country and towns showed me, there’s just one setting sun

If I stay here I’m sure I’d change, I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to make these songs
But I’ll head back to Japan, I’ll show them I’ll change in Japan
